We started Extract because we were tired of running out of water while riding. Being in areas that are ideal for cycling also come with issues because oftentimes they are in places without many people which means not many businesses where you could refill your water at. While riding we noticed that there were plenty of natural water sources nearby but drinking from those is risky. So we looked into options for water filters to bring with us. But none of them catered towards cycling very well. They were either too big and bulky to carry while riding or they required drinking through a straw. So we decided to make our own.
